D2H application provides the option to add company logo or any other custom image, in the page header of NetHelp 2.0, via Theme Designer.
However, sometimes customer requirement needs header logo to be click-able, so that they can re-direct it to some website or may be a related help document. This blog provides the implementation using the anchor tag in sync with the img tag, by editing layout.html file of the Custom Theme.
- Create a custom theme. This theme file is generated at \\Documents\My Doc-To-Help Projects\Doc-To-Help\Themes\NetHelp 2.0\themes
- Find layout.html file in custom theme folder and edit in Notepad
- Now look for the <img> tag.
<a href="http://componentone.com" target="_blank"> <img id="c1headerLogo" src="images/d2h_logo_placeholder.png" alt="Logo" /> </a>
- In <a href=”….”> specify your website URL
- Save the file
- Rebuild your project
Now the inserted logo in the Page header section of NetHelp 2.0 is click-able, which would redirect the page to the specified URL.
Download this modified layout.html file, which you may replace with the default layout.html in the custom theme folder.
